We use the GDR-x with heated calibration fluid, following manufacturer-specified test plans and pressures tailored to each injector, to test your injectors to determine if they perform within the designated flow corridor across multiple tests.

Along with traditional high-temp pulsed ultrasonic cleaning, we utilize our proprietary state-of-the-art POWERFLUSH to further clean fuel injectors internally. Injector parts are always replaced as part of our standard service. We do not offer a no-parts or testing-only option. Our service is provided exclusively as a single, premium-tier offering.

  • If an injector is found to be permanently defective, we will not proceed with the service. Instead, we will issue a refund for the cost of the injector, minus a $5 bench fee.
  • Our fuel injector cleaning and testing service includes up to six cleaning steps, including a POWERFLUSH stage when needed for stubborn injectors. This approach can greatly enhance the outcomes compared to conventional ultrasonic cleaning methods alone.
  • Our fuel Injector tests are all carried out on the latest Carbon Zapp GDR-X GDI &Piezo specific machine.​​
  • As part of our premium service, you will receive new fuel injector components, including filters, O-rings, seals, caps, grommets, clips, spacers, decouplers, clamps, ferrules, caps and hoses, with OEM options generally available for all injector types.
  • We include a Color Injector result report with all our injector service options shown below.​
  • For the BMW Siemens Piezo Injector, we offer a no-parts option since many repair shops already have the necessary and costly components.​
  • Please note that some parts for certain injectors may occasionally be on back order, and we will inform you if this occurs.
  • We capture video and photo evidence of each step of your injector service and send them to you as the work progresses.

Our GDI & Piezoelectric Injector Testing Procedures

GDI & Piezo injector flow test pressures are determined by the manufacturer and controlled by the machine. It varies based on the injector. We typically see pressures between 1000-3000 PSI or 68-210 BAR depending on injector type and manufacturer specified test plan.

Piezoelectric Injector Piezo Stack Regeneration

Piezo stack regeneration is included in our standard service package when applicable. See below.

Maintaining the optimal performance of Piezoelectric injectors often requires piezo re-stacking or regeneration as part of the injector service. This process restores the Piezo stack to its original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications, which is particularly useful when installing used injectors in a vehicle. Piezo stacks may expand change size, especially during low-speed operation, leading to slower response times and reduced flow rates. This can result in poor idle quality and diminished performance under high engine demands. Our equipment effectively simulates the original operating conditions by applying varying pressure, heat and voltages, ensuring the Piezo crystal stack is returned to its OEM size and functionality for optimal injector performance.

Pre-index 11 Injectors

No Piezo Stack regeneration will be performed on these injectors, as noted in the advisory below.

We will provide Injector service, but results may remain unsatisfactory due to inherent design issues.

Index 11 Injectors

Piezo Stack regeneration may lead to leaks developing sooner.

We will provide Injector service and only regenerate the Piezo Stack if it fails specific tests.

For Index 12 Injectors

Piezo Stack regeneration will always be carried out and is included with Service.

BMW Piezoelectric Advisory

BMW N54 N63 N74 S63 Piezo GDI Injector Cleaning Service

Siemens has made improvements to the N54, N63, S63 and N74 Piezoelectric fuel injectors with Index 12 to address previous issues. It’s important to note that servicing earlier N54, N63, S63 and N74 Fuel Injectors will not bring them up to Index 12 specifications. The earlier pre 11 indexes were known for leaking, which led to higher flowing injectors. This design issue cannot be addressed through servicing, which is why Index 11 and subsequent 12 injector redesign was introduced.

If you have BMW N54 pre-Index 11 injectors, consider upgrading to Index 12 injectors rather than attempting to service them. Be leery of used Index 12 injectors from auction sites, the labels can be spoofed, only purchase used ones from reputable commercial sources or acquire them from a salvage yard yourself. Buyer beware.

Injector Coding & Numbering

  • These injectors come with flow rate coding values usually located in the red circle below. Those offset values are input into the MSD8x Engine Management system corresponding to the engine cylinder number.
  • Unless you plan on doing EMM changes you will need to put them back in the original cylinder. We recommend marking them with a sharpie or a tag indicating the cylinder number. We’ll etch that information when we receive them making it easy for you to reinstall them in their original positions.​

Our standard injector service includes an additional POWERFLUSH cleaning stage for Top Feed, Side feed, E-TEC, Optimax Air, GDI and Piezo Injectors.

Yes, we have a 2 injector minimum.

Absolutely! Rest assured that we will take care of removing the injectors for you for (typically GDI and side feed) and invoice you for a bench fee of $10 per rail to do the work as problems can often arise. However, it’s important to note that we cannot be held responsible for any potential damage that may occur during the removal process. To ensure a smooth experience, we recommend that you personally remove the injectors from the rail.

To avoid any issues with shipping service secure them in plastic and tape them to prevent leaks.

For your convenience, side feed injectors will be re-installed in the fuel rails, top feed and GDI injectors will be packaged separately. GDI Injector clips are very easy, you’ll have no issues, but they are tricky to get off which we will do if you wish.

  • Ordered through the web site for credit cars purchases, we will refund shipping if there is any applied.
  • Dropped off with contact details of name, email and phone number, cash payment on pick up is fine.

If you would like expedited shipping contact us at Contact@RedlineInjectors.com for separate invoicing for those charges. Once the items are packaged and ready to ship we will send a separate invoice for the chares based on the option you specified.

​When preparing the injectors for shipping, it is strongly advised to place them inside a regular zip lock bag first. This will help to keep the fuel smell contained. It is important to avoid any damage during transit, so make sure not to simply toss the bag into a box without any additional packing material. This is particularly crucial for the pintle end.

It is not recommended to ship the injectors in a bubble envelope. Optimal protection can be achieved by using a box with some padding or a bubble envelope in a box. The small flat rate box from the Post Office may be good budget-friendly option for smaller injectors.

We charge flat rate shipping per item type for most items where specified as ‘Free Shipping’. Other Shipping charges are listed in the store per based on quantity.

Fuel Injector System Service Exclusions

  • ​We do not provide fuel injector system cleaning and testing services for GM CPI/SCPI Spider fuel injector systems. In order to properly service this type of injector, it is necessary to remove and replace the fuel tubes to do it properly. However, the tubes are currently unavailable.​
  • We no longer provide service for FICHT injectors at this time.
