GDI Fuel Injector Cleaning & High Pressure Testing Service

Whether your GDI injectors are dirty or clogged, our premium injector cleaning and flow testing service delivers manufacturer-level static and dynamic testing on state of the art precision computer-controlled benches and includes all required replacement parts.

• If we determine the injectors is bad electrically or mechanically before we begin cleaning and testing we will call you, let you know and refund you the service cost of that injector. This happens more than you would think.
• Specific to Direct injectors only, once cleaning and testing are performed, if an injector fails the manufacturer tests, either slightly and are still usable or are to the point of being unusable regarding expected flows, no refund is issued. The injector’s condition is determined after approximately two hours of labor, and that outcome is considered a valid result.
• Unlike port injectors, GDI injectors are cleaned first and then tested; they are not pre-tested.

• These injectors operate at extremely high pressures of 500-2300 PSI. Our Carbon Zapp GDR-X test bench, featuring computer-controlled fluid temperature management executes manufacturer-specific injector flow test plans at pressures up to 5,000 PSI exclusively for all Direct injector testing. To help ensure success, we employ proprietary cleaning procedures.
• Each injector is evaluated according to manufacturer test plans to ensure OEM-level accuracy with up to 8 precision tests per injector on our computer-controlled test bench.
• Meaningful, accurate results requires specialized equipment designed specifically for direct injectors.

• Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) systems commonly suffer from several interrelated issues due to their high pressures and injector placement.
• Carbon buildup at the injector tip allows combustion byproducts to accumulate inside and outside the injector tip, restricting fuel flow at the pintle.
• GDI injectors themselves are prone to internal clogging and inconsistent fuel delivery as they operate in extreme heat and pressure, leading to poor atomization, misfires, and rough running.
• Injector seal leaks, particularly at the combustion chamber seal, can allow compression and combustion gases to escape, damaging injectors and causing hard starts or fuel odor.
• Together, these conditions increase the likelihood of excessive engine knock or pre-ignition, which can result in loss of power and, in severe cases, serious engine damage.

• Optionally, mark each injector with its cylinder number using a Sharpie and masking tape tag or something similar. We will tag the injectors with plastic tags using your provided number.
• Writing on the injector with a sharpie will rub off during shipping.
• Etching the numbers is fine as long as they are not obscure and hard to find, we are not responsible if we do not not find your numbering.
• But honestly it is just easier and far more reliable to use a strip of painters tape with a sharpie number.

• We consistently achieve better results thanks to our unique cleaning procedures. It’s not uncommon for injectors that undergo traditional cleaning methods; especially non-leaking units; to perform poorly on testing. However, employing our proprietary chemicals with our air-injected cleaning process and POWERFLUSH treatment, those same injectors often snap right back into the proper flow corridors. It does not happen every time, but it does happen frequently.
• Injectors may still fail even after our extensive cleaning procedures, typically due to weak coils or more commonly, internal wear or weakened return springs. If this occurs, you can be confident it is not the result of inadequate cleaning procedures.
• *Certain models such as Mercedes piezo injectors are not eligible for the POWERFLUSH.
