Premium Marine Injector Cleaning and Testing

Proprietary Mercury Optimax Fuel Injector Service Features
The Mercury Optimax employs a highly specialized injection system that uses both a fuel injector and an air injector, with fuel delivered through a shared rail directly into the air injector, which then injects the fuel-air mixture into the cylinder at precisely timed intervals for maximum power. For optimal performance, both injectors must operate in perfect sync, but the system can be compromised by high-ethanol fuels and debris from air pump failures.
As part of our Mercury Optimax Air Fuel Injector cleaning and testing Injector Services, we’ve developed custom-machined specialty cups for the Carbon Zapp and our exclusive POWERFLUSH machines to properly clean and test the Optimax air side of the injector stack.
Our standard Premium Optimax Air Injector Service always includes seal installation using our proprietary tool all at a price lower than what most places charge for cleaning alone. See our Port Injector Cleaning and Flow Testing page for service details.

Proprietary Mercury Optimax Air Tool And Seals
The service we provide for E-TEC injectors follows the Port Injector service and is detailed on the Port Injector page. Additionally, you might come across Mercury Optimax air fuel injector cleaning or air injector service priced at $20, but this usually does not include O-rings and seals, which are often additional costs as purchase options. The OEM Mercury Seal Kit #26-804875 for Optimax Air injectors costs $22 on its own.
As a result, shops use aftermarket combustion seals to lower the cost. Generally, they all come from the same supplier base regardless of who you buy them from. Be cautious, as often they do not serve as accurate replacements. They were all too thin and too large. We discarded thousands of these seals and simply began manufacturing them correctly.

Proprietary Optimax Sealing Solution
To address this quality shortcoming in the marketplace, we now produce our own proprietary Air Injector combustion seals to ensure the exact quality, fit, and function of the OEM seals—as well as our own proper combustion seal re-sizing tool. There is a difference.
By producing these components in-house, we’re able to offer comprehensive Mercury Optimax cleaning and testing at a price LESS than most places charge for cleaning alone. You don’t have to worry about short, barely adequate seals anymore.
As part of our premium standard service we always include:
- Correct Combustion Seal exactly matching OEM
- Combustion Seal Precision properly Fitted with Our Proprietary Tool
- Correct Upper and Lower O-rings

Yes, we have a 2 injector minimum.
Absolutely! Rest assured that we will take care of removing the injectors for you for (typically GDI and side feed) and invoice you for a bench fee of $10 per rail to do the work as problems can often arise. However, it’s important to note that we cannot be held responsible for any potential damage that may occur during the removal process. To ensure a smooth experience, we recommend that you personally remove the injectors from the rail.
To avoid any issues with shipping service secure them in plastic and tape them to prevent leaks.
For your convenience, side feed injectors will be re-installed in the fuel rails, top feed and GDI injectors will be packaged separately. GDI Injector clips are very easy, you’ll have no issues, but they are tricky to get off which we will do if you wish.

When preparing the injectors for shipping, it is strongly advised to place them inside a regular zip lock bag first. This will help to keep the fuel smell contained. It is important to avoid any damage during transit, so make sure not to simply toss the bag into a box without any additional packing material. This is particularly crucial for the pintle end.
It is not recommended to ship the injectors in a bubble envelope. Optimal protection can be achieved by using a box with some padding or a bubble envelope in a box. The small flat rate box from the Post Office may be good budget-friendly option for smaller injectors.
